NOTE
Only operate preselector switch when you want to engage the
range change group directly afterwards.
CAUTION
• Constant shifting with high manual shifting force can
cause increased wear on the synchronizer parts.
• In order to avoid transmission synchronizer damage,
changeover to the low range change group must only be
effected when the speed is lower than approx. 28 km/h.
During normal driving, the respectively other range change
group must be preselected only directly before the actual
gearshift. If the range change group is preselected too
early, there can be unintended gearshifts during the next
gear change due to e.g. quickly changing traffic conditions;
this will lead to transmission synchronizer wear.
