Towing

It is only possible to tow the vehicle under the following
conditions:
• Emergency steering pump installed.
• High range change group selected, shift lever in neutral
position.
• Towing distance of max. 100 km.
• The max. permitted towing speed is to be determined
depending on the axle ratio and tire size as depicted in the
chart (Fig. 8).
NOTE
Vehicle manufacturer specifications must absolutely be
observed.
CAUTION
If one of the above-mentioned conditions is not met, the
propshaft must be disconnected from the rear axle flange or
the axle half shafts must be removed in order to avoid
transmission damage.
If you suspect transmission damage, the propshaft must
also be disconnected from the rear axle flange or the axle
half shafts must be removed.
