4.2.1 Oil drain

CAUTION
Oil must not be allowed to enter the soil, ground water, or
sewage system. Collect overflowing oil in a suitable
container and dispose of in accordance with environmental
guidelines.
NOTE
Generally: Change oil after a longer journey while the
transmission oil is still at operating temperature and of low
viscosity.
• Unscrew oil drain plugs on the transmission
(Fig. 10, pos. 1 and 2) and collect the old oil in a suitable

container and dispose it in an environmentally friendly way.

• Clean oil drain plugs (1), replace sealing ring, and tighten it
to 60 Nm.
• Clean oil drain plug and magnetic plug (2), replace sealing
ring, and tighten to 60 Nm.
