Bremsomat Function

3.5 BREMSOMAT Function
(Bremsomat operation depends upon the vehicle)
By means of this functions, you can keep the velocity of
your vehicle during downhill travel at the requested
constant value.
The Intarder electronics automatically set the required
level of braking torque.
Upon actuation of the accelerator pedal, the Bremsomat
function is automatically interrupted and after releasing
the accelerator pedal, the current speed is set.
NOTES
• If, in the case of downhill travel, the required braking
performance is greater than the maximum braking
performance of the Intarder, then, additionally, the
engine or service brakes must be actuated.
• If the current driving speed is smaller than the
set velocity, then the Intarder remains functionless.
Once the velocityagain attains the saved value, the
Intarder becomes active again.
CAUTION
When programming cruise control and Bremsomat at
the same time, ensure that the speed set for the cruise
control is lower than that selected in Bremsomat
operation.
Otherwise, the two functions will work again one
another!
