Compressed-air system maintenance

Condensate accumulates in every compressed-air system. To
prevent any condensate, rust, water, and other impurities of
the compressed-air reservoirs from entering the valves or shift
cylinders, regular maintenance of the compressed-air system
is required.
The compressed-air reservoirs must be drained once a week
(or daily in winter).
NOTE
Together with the pneumatic tanks, also the compressed-air
cleaner is to be drained by means of a water separator, unless
the latter operates automatically.
Please also note the details provided by the vehicle
manufacturer.
