Method For Checking The Oil Levels In The Front Axle - Komatsu PW98MR-10 Operation & Maintenance Manual

MAINTENANCE
1.
Set the machine to the greasing posture shown on the fig-
ure, lower the work equipment to the ground,and stop the
engine.
2.
By using a grease pump, apply grease to the grease fittings marked by arrows.
(1) Outrigger cylinder base pin (2 points)
(2) Outrigger arm fulcrum pin (2 points)
(3) Outrigger cylinder head pin (2 points)
(4) Outrigger fulcrum pin (2 points)
(5) Bucket cylinder base pin (2 points)
(6) Tie-rod fulcrum pin (2 points)
(7) Blade arm fulcrum pin (2 points)
(8) Blade cylinder head pin (2 points)
(9) Tie rod - blade coupling pin (2 points)
(10) Arm-blade coupling pin (2 points)
3.
After greasing, wipe off any old grease that is pushed out.

METHOD FOR CHECKING THE OIL LEVELS IN THE FRONT AXLE

Immediately after the engine is stopped, its parts and oil are still very hot and may cause burn injury.
Wait until they have cooled down before starting the work.
For the check, position the machine on solid flat ground, place the equipment on the ground and stop the en-
gine.
