MACHINE OPERATIONS AND CONTROLS
METHOD FOR MOVING MACHINE
Before moving the machine, make sure that you perfectly know the control functions and all the rel-
evant safety regulations.
The operator must be seated in the driving position with fastened seat belt.
Before operating the travel pedal, make sure that the turret is directed towards the front swing axle.
If the top turret is facing the transmission, the translation controls (forwards and backwards) and
steering (right and left) are inverted.
Before moving the machine, make sure that there is no one within its operating range and that there
are no obstacles in the surrounding area.
Be extremely careful when reversing, and make sure that there are no persons, other equipment or
obstacles in the way.
Avoid any travel manoeuvre with the accelerator at maximum speed, since manoeuvres carried out
in these conditions may cause abrupt and dangerous movements.
Remove obstacles from the travel path.
When the auto-deceleration function is active and the hand accelerator is at maximum speed, if the
translation pedal is activated, the engine speed is increased abruptly and, therefore as a result, par-
ticular attention must be paid.
Check that the travel alarm works properly.
If the travelling on street mode is selected, the translation alarm functions only with reverse gear
engaged.
If the travelling on street mode is selected, the pressure of the drive pedal gradually raises the en-
gine rpm up to the value set by the hand throttle from a minimum of 1500 rpm.
NOTICE
For travelling on roads and engaging the "Autocruise"switch, see "METHOD FOR TRAVELING ON
ROAD (3-167)"
The travelling direction must be selected with the engine at low rpm and the machine stopped.
Before moving the machine, heat the engine and the hydraulic
system oil and check the instrumentation is working correctly.
1.
Select the desired steering mode. For details, see "STEERING AND ROAD CIRCULATION DISPLAY
(3-35)"
2.
Put the hand throttle (3) to the desired engine speed. (For detail, see "FUEL CONTROL DIAL (3-93)").
NOTICE
If the engine speed cannot be increased, it is possible that the autodeceleration switch may be in
position ON. Check the corresponding warning light. For detail, see "AUTO-DECELERATION
SWITCH (3-47)".
