METHOD FOR STOPPING MACHINE

Avoid a sudden stop. Stop the machine gradually.
Stopping in normal situations
1.
Release the drive pedal (1) and press the brake pedal (2) to stop the machine.
2.
Put the gear in neutral (N) with the switch on the right joy-
stick (3).
Emergency stop
This operation can stop the machine abruptly.
The operator must be seated in the driving position with fastened seat belt.
Use the brakes in an emergency
The machine has an emergency braking system in compliance with ISO 3450.
If there is a fault of the source of power for the braking system (engine or pump failure) whilst travelling, this
system allows you to brake the machine using the energy stored in the accumulators, allowing the vehicle to
stop safely.
Before the energy stored in the accumulators runs out it is possible to brake five times.
If there is a problem with the service brake it is possible to stop the machine using the parking brake switch (4).
1.
Release the drive pedal (1).
2.
Engage the parking brake with the switch (4).
Use of the steering in an emergency
The machine has an emergency steering system in compliance with ISO 5010 (BSEN 12643).
If there is a fault of the source of power for the steering system (engine failure) whilst travelling, this system
allows you to steer, allowing the machine to be stopped safely.
When emergency steering is carried out, the force required for the steering and the number of steering revolu-
tions increases.
To check the operation of the steering system, carry out the following procedure:
1.
Raise the front wheels with the outriggers or the work equipment and stop the engine.
2.
Steer in both directions and check the wheels are moving correctly.
