Disengage the gear by manually positioning the control rod
(1) in neutral.

Check that the parking brake is disengaged. For details,
see "PARKING BRAKE SWITCH (3-95)"
4.
If there is a fault with the parking brake relay, use the
emergency lever. For details, see "PARKING BRAKE RE-
LAY DEACTIVATION SWITCH (3-99)"
5.
When there is a fault with the engine and it is not possible
to release the parking brake, it is necessary to carry out
the operation manually. For details, see "METHOD FOR
UNLOCKING PARKING BRAKE (4-34)"
Method for towing the machine without outriggers and blade
Fit a suitable pin (2) in the hole indicated and keep it in the
housing with the screws or the safety split pins and couple the
chain to the pin.
Method of towing the machine with outriggers
Fit a suitable pin (3) in the hole indicated and keep it in the
housing with the screws or the safety split pins and couple the
chain to the pin.
Method of towing the machine with the blade
Hook up the chain to the pin (4) as shown in the figure.

PRECAUTIONS FOR SEVERE JOB CONDITION

• When performing digging operations in water, if the work equipment mounting pin goes into the water, per-
form greasing every time the operation is performed.
• For heavy-duty operations and deep digging, perform greasing of the work equipment mounting pins every
time before operation.
After greasing, operate the boom, arm and bucket several times, then grease again.
