8.1.2 Pulse Command and Motor Rotation
(1)
Stepping (pulse) motor
A stepping motor is a motor which rotates by a constant angle (step angle) each time a pulse signal is input. It
is also referred to as a pulse motor.
Motion controller
(2)
Servo motor
An encoder (angle detector) is mounted on the motor to feedback the motor axis rotation position and speed to
the motor driver.
The motor driver is controlled to rotate for 1 encoder pulse by 1 pulse command.
