Executing a Transition

Setting the Transition Rate

You can set the rate of an auto transition, by specifying the duration as the
number of frames required. Use the following procedure to set the transition
rate before pressing the AUTO TRANS button to carry out an auto transition.
To set the transition rate, first specify the bank or keyer for which you wish
to carry out the setting, then enter the numeric value from the numeric
keypad section.

To specify one of these banks for the transition rate setting, use the following
procedure.

Press the TRANS RATE button in the numeric keypad section.
This causes the one of the sub-register selection buttons (M/E-1, M/E-2,
M/E-3, or P/P DSK) corresponding to the bank for which you last set the
transition rate to light.
M/E-1, M/E-2, and M/E-3 buttons: M/E banks
P/P DSK button: PGM/PST bank
At the same time the transition duration set for that bank is displayed in
the numeric keypad section.
Press the one of the sub-register selection buttons corresponding to the
bank for which you wish to set the new transition rate, turning it on.
This displays the transition duration set for the selected bank in the
numeric keypad section.
In this state, you can enter a new value for the duration from the numeric
keypad.
The transition rate which you set applies to all items selected by the next
transition selection buttons in the transition control section.
