Commissioning and starting up the RTU
Note
Startup with an SD card that is not brand new
If the RTU starts up with an SD card that is not brand new, observe the behavior of the RTU
in terms of the configuration file used, refer to the section Configuration (Page 99).
Requirements for commissioning
Prior to commissioning the RTU, make sure that the following conditions are met:
● The system is completely installed:
RTU, if applicable battery modules, protective housing, relevant sensors/actuators, if
applicable antenna, if applicable external power supply
● The RTU and the sensors/actuators belonging to it are completely wired.
● The communications partner - if configured - is reachable.
● The configuration data is loaded on the RTU.
Note
Copying the configuration data to other RTUs
If you install a lot of RTUs which use a lot of identical configuration data, you can transfer
the configuration data of one RTU to the other RTUs using the configuration file. For
information on this refer to the WBM > "Maintenance".
● When mobile wireless communication is intended: The SIM card is plugged in.
