Starting and setting up SINUMERIK Commissioning

Description
● When you start SINUMERIK Commissioning on the PC, the application initially opens
without the MCU connection.
● When you start SINUMERIK Commissioning on the MCU, then the application is opened
with the preset connection.
● Use the application in the same way as the user interface of SINUMERIK Operate familiar
to you:
Starting SINUMERIK Commissioning
1. On the desktop, double-click the "SINUMERIK Commissioning" symbol - or select "Start
> Siemens Automation > SINUMERIK Commissioning"
The user interface of SINUMERIK Commissioning is displayed.
2. Select the "Commissioning" operating area and press the "Change language" softkey.
The language selection opens.
3. Select your language and click "OK".
4. In the "Commissioning" operating area, press the "Password" softkey.
5. Press the "Set password" softkey, enter the manufacturer password and confirm with "OK".
A valid password is acknowledged as set and the manufacturer access level is set.
Further information on access levels is provided in Chapter "Access levels (Page 37)".
Setting up SINUMERIK Commissioning on a PC
1. In the "Commissioning" operating area, select the softkeys "HMI > cursor key > NCU
Connection".
The "NCU Connection" dialog box opens.
2. Select address type "IP Address", enter the value for MCU connection X130 (company
network) and confirm with "OK".
SINUMERIK Commissioning connects to the MCU.
On this user interface, you parameterize the machine data and drives that you need for your
SINUMERIK MC environment.
Note
Alternatively, you can also configure the connection between SINUMERIK Commissioning and
the MCU via file mmc.ini.
Copy of the file from directory .../siemens/sinumerik/hmi/cfg and insert the copy
below user or oem with the same path. Change the IP addresses and start
SINUMERIK Commissioning.
