4.14 Services
● Search
Searches the file system of the configuration PC for a certificate file saved there that is
intended to be loaded on the RTU.
● Load on device
By clicking the button, download the selected certificate file to the RTU.
● Encrypt zipped files
If you enable the option, the files compressed as a ZIP archive are transferred encrypted.
Use tools such as WinZip or 7Zip to extract the packed and encrypted archives.
● Password
Password for the encryption of the transfer
The transferred files can only be decrypted and opened with this password.
● Additional communication cycle with the number of buffered FTP transfers
Here, you can enter the number of stored files as of which the RTU runs through an
additional communication cycle. This ensures that all files waiting for transfer are sent.
If the connection to the FTP server is disrupted, the RTU stores up to 12 files for transfer.
When this number is reached and further files are generated, the files generated last are
lost.
Range of values: 0 ... 12
If "0" is entered, the memory for data files is limited to 11 and there is no change to the
communication mode. If there are already 11 data files stored and further data files are
generated, the files generated last are discarded. This allows the transfer of at least one
file which has the attribute "Change immediately to communication mode".
Files that bring about an immediate change to the communication mode can be
configured on the following pages:
– Operating mode > Logging
– Program > Block "FTP file transfer" > parameter "Send immediately"
Paths of the FTP server
If you do not want to save the files in the standard directory of the server, you can specify
optional paths here.
The configured paths must correspond to the path names on the server. If the paths do not
exist, they are created by most servers when the first transfer is made.
