Configuration (WBM)
4.18 Tags
Here, you specify texts for the individual tags, which are used when writing the process
values to the SD card and for transferring process values in messages (SMS / e-mails).
● Parameters for digital tags (except counters):
– Text for "ON"
– Text for "OFF"
● Parameters for analog tags and counters (inputs and memory bits):
– Unit
– Format
For information on programming messages with process values, refer to the section
Blocks for messages (Page 241).
Syntax
Separate decimal places in input boxes with a period.
Note the characters permitted for the input boxes, see section Permitted characters and
parameter lengths (Page 77).
4.18.3

Digital inputs

In total, you can configure eight digital inputs.
Digital input 0 and 1 for counter inputs
Of the eight digital inputs only the first two can be configured as fast counter inputs up to 5
kHz. These two inputs have a fixed filter time of 0.2 milliseconds.
152
Enter a text that replaces the value "1" of the process value (for example, "ON").
Enter a text that replaces the value "0" of the process value (for example, "OFF")
Enter a text for the physical unit (for example, "I/s").
Here, you specify the format of the value to be written to the SD card or to be
transferred with the message.
With analog inputs the box has the default [V.2].
With counters the box has the default [V].
Note the following rules:
The square brackets and the letter V R placeholders for the tag name. They must not
be changed.
The period and the digit following it indicate the number of decimal places (max. 4). If
you write the values of a tag to the SD card only with 1 decimal point or want to
transfer them with a message, configure the parameter as follows: [V.1]
Example:
In a message text the placeholder for the current value of analog input 3 with one
decimal place would appear as follows: [Analog3.1]
