Type of transmission
With this parameter you specify whether the values of the data point are configured as an
event.
The following option is available with all protocols:
● Only internal use
The values of the data point are not transferred to the communications partner.
The other options specify the event class of the data point. They differ depending on the
protocol used.
TeleControl Basic / ST7
● Transfer after call
The current value of the data point is saved in the image memory (process image) of the
RTU. New values of a data point overwrite the last stored value.
Only after being called up by the communications partner or at the configured times of the
communication mode is the value current at this time transferred.
● Event (only current value)
Only the current value is saved in the send buffer and overwrites the last value saved
there.
● Event (every value)
All values that differ from the last saved value are saved in chronological order in the
send buffer.
DNP3
● Class 0
Static data point (not an event)
● Class 1 / Class 2 / Class 3
Configuration of the data point as an event of class 1, 2 or 3
The characteristics of classes 1, 2 and 3 are specified within the DNP3 system. The
evaluation of the class of the data sent by the station is handled by the master.
IEC
● Static
Static data point (not an event). The current value is only transferred after being called up
by the partner.
● Event (every value)
Each value change is saved in chronological order.
● Event (only current value)
Only the current value at the time it was acquired is saved and overwrites the last value
saved there.
