● Enable data service in the mobile wireless network
Enable this option if you want to send data. In this case, make sure that your mobile
wireless contract allows the use of IP-based data services.
If the option is disabled, the RTU can only receive and send SMS messages, receive time
of day frames and receive wake-up calls. The sending of data and e-mails is then only
possible via the LAN interface.
● APN
When using data services, an access point is required as the gateway from the mobile
wireless network to the Internet. The APN (Access Point Name) is the name of the
gateway you receive from your mobile wireless network provider.
Enter the APN in the input box.
● User name
Enter the user name for the APN. You obtain access data from your mobile wireless
network provider.
If your mobile wireless network provider does not require access data, leave the boxes
for user name and password empty.
● Password
Enter the password for the APN. You obtain access data from your mobile wireless
network provider.
● Authentication method
Select one of the following authentication methods according to which the user name and
password of the APN will be transferred:
– No authentication
– PAP
– CHAP
