4.20 Telecontrol
Name and data point type
● Name
Configured name of the tag
After the tag name, there is an abbreviation for the tag type and the consecutive number
of the tag added in brackets, for example (AI0) or (DQ3).
● Data point name
Only with the "TeleControl Basic" protocol:
The data point name is part of the addressing by the communications partner (addressing
of the OPC items).

Use with TeleControl Basic, DNP3, IEC
Depending on the protocol used, the index has a different meaning.
The value has a default in the system, but can be changed. Doubly assigned indexes
(addresses) and indexes outside the permitted range of values are signaled as errors during
the consistency check and prevent saving.
For the configuration the following rules apply.
● TeleControl Basic
The data point index serves as an internal classification criterion.
Range of values: 0 .. 65535
The indexes must be unique for every data point over all data points (digital inputs, digital
outputs, analog inputs etc.).

Type of the data point.
Type of the data point (object). According to the two transmission directions, the
names in send objects with the ending "_S" and in receive objects with the ending
"_R". differ from each other.
