4.20 Telecontrol
● Monitoring time for spontaneous frames
Time (in seconds) within which an acknowledgement of spontaneous data frames is
expected from the master.
Permitted range: 1...65535
● Event transfer mode
Mode with which DNP events are transferred to the communications partner.
– Block transfer
– Single transfer
Discard events as long as the time of day is invalid.
If the option is enabled the values of data points configured as an event will be discarded
until the time of day of the RTU is synchronized or set. This may be the case, for example,
during startup of the RTU.
DNP3 SA
Here, you can enable and configure secure authentication according to the DNP3
specification.
● Activate Secure Authentication
Enable the option if you want to use the secure authentication.
● IKE mode
Selection of the mode for key exchange. Range of values:
– Main Mode
– Aggressive Mode
Default setting: Aggressive Mode
● SHA-1 interlock
Setting to select whether the RTU may use the secure hash algorithm SHA-1 if "SHA-
256" was configured as the Secure hash algorithm and the master does not support SHA-
256.
Range of values:
– SHA-1 not allowed
– SHA-1 allowed
Default setting: SHA-1 not allowed

Transfer of collected data per data point as a block.
Chronological transfer of individual data frames
The Main Mode is the standard mode.
The Aggressive Mode is somewhat faster but transfers the identity unencrypted.
The RTU may not use SHA-1. If the master does not support SHA-256, no connection
will be established.
The RTU can use SHA-1 if the master does not support SHA-256.
