11) Remove 4th gear (1) and spacer washer (2) from main shaft
using puller (3) and hydraulic press.
CAUTION:
Make sure to use flat side of puller to avoid causing dam-
age to 4th gear tooth.
12) Remove needle bearing (1), synchronizer ring (2), shift
sleeve (3), synchronizer spring and keys from main shaft.
13) Remove hub (1) 3rd gear, synchronizer ring (2) and 3rd gear
(3) from main shaft using puller and hydraulic press.
CAUTION:
Make sure to use flat side of puller to avoid causing dam-
age to 3rd gear tooth.
Assembly
1) Clean all components thoroughly, inspect them for any
abnormality and replace with new ones as necessary.
2) Lubricate all bearing bore holes and seating surfaces with
transmission fluid before installation.
