Engine components,checking

Ground (GND) connections between engine,
transmission, and chassis must be OK.
For vehicles with automatic transmission,
selector lever must be in -P-.
Throttle valve must not be damaged or dirty.
Throttle valve must be in Closed Throttle
Position (CTP).
Adjustment of accelerator pedal cable must
be OK Page 20-50
pedal cable.
Coolant temperature must be at least 80 C
Page ST-14 , Diagnostic mode 1: Check
measured values; PID 5, Coolant
temperature.
