Symptoms and solutions
Thick horizontal line repeats in cycles of
133, 53, and 33 mm (5.24, 2.09, and 1.3
inches):
Check the BID connector.
Replace the BID.
Call customer engineer if the problem

Vertical lines along the print black ink
streaks (waste on main electrode):
Use cleaning foil.
Low ink flow rate:
Check to see if the flexible ink hose
connections are kinked before
performing Ink Flow Calibration wizard.
Perform the Ink Flow Calibration wizard
to recalibrate the ink flow rate.
Check for a clogged pump (waste around
the filter) or a bad pump that decreases
the flow rate.
If problems continue after BID
replacement, check the flow. Low flow rate
can also cause the following problems:
Developer not rotating.
Streaks.
H.V. error message.
Use the BID wizard to check for all HVPS problems, and follow the error
message instructions.
