Sheet alignment ensures cross-run registration. When properly adjusted, the image is
placed in the same position in relation to the leading edge and the top left corner of the
sheet on all of the printed sheets in one press run.

Grippers

The grippers hold the paper sheet firmly during the printing process. A properly held sheet
is held in place during the application of all the inks to the sheet (1 to 7 press revolutions).
A firm gripper hold ensures both color registration and cross-run registration.

Perfector

The perfector assists in turning over the sheet and feeding it for duplex printing.

Exit unit

The exit unit stacks the printed sheets. The output of the paper stack allows the paper to
feed to the post-printing process such as binding or trimming.

Paper transport control pads

The press is equipped with several control pads to adjust the paper transport system. The
following sections are in the order of the paper transport system.

Paper feed unit

The paper feed unit contains two trays. The lower tray is the main tray. The upper tray is
the secondary tray.
