The press must be in the Standby state when changing PFU Rate. If the press is in the Ready
state, the system issues an error message and changes the press back to the Standby state.

10 Perform the appropriate hardware adjustments in order to load the new substrate.

Loading a substrate

Adjust the paper transport system to ensure smooth paper feeding and ejection. Adjust
the paper transport system whenever you replace the substrate with a substrate of a
different weight or size.

Mounting a paper tray base plate

The press is supplied with five paper tray base plates. Select the paper tray closest in size
to the size of the stock that you are using.

Click the Machine Parameters tab.
If you do not want to automatically use paper to clean the blanket, select the Bypass
Cleaner Page check box. Select this option when paper is limited or costly.
In the PFU Rate (Impr per hour) section, select 4000, unless printing a simplex
monochrome job.
In the Default Tray for Job and the Default Tray for Special Job sections, select
the correct tray. If changes were made, click the Substrate tab. Click Apply to apply
the change.

Press the Elevator Cont. button together with the Elevator Down button.
Remove all the paper sheets and store them for later use.
