Viewing the ink can log

Use the ink log to track ink can replacements and the number of impressions for each
replaced ink can.

Drain some of the ink. For details, see 'Draining the ink tank' on page 101. Drain
0.4 liter (0.42 quart) from the tank for each 10 pmho/cm above the desired
conductivity value.
The following table indicates the amount of ink you should drain to set conductivity at
the set value, 90 to 100 pmho/cm
Replace the drained ink with imaging oil. Pour imaging oil directly into the ink tank
(see Figure 8-9).
In the control panel, click the Diagnostics menu, and then select Ink.
Monitor ink conductivity level.
Click Pump.
Fill the ink tank with imaging oil.
Check the ink conductivity again.
In the control panel, click the Consumables menu, and then select Ink Cans. The
Ink Cans window opens.
Click the Log tab. The information in this log cannot be edited.
