Description
Enter cost value here. It is an unsigned integer value expressed as the
link-state metric. The range is from 1 to 65535. Select the Default
option to use the default value.
Enter the hello interval value, between the hello packets that the router
sends on an interface here. This value is advertised in the hello
packets. The shorter the hello interval, the earlier topological changes
will be detected, but more routing traffic will ensue. This value must be
the same for all routers and access servers on a specific network. The
range is from 1 to 65535 seconds. Select the Default option to use the
default value, which is 10 seconds.
Enter the dead interval value here, during which no packets are
received and after which a neighbor is regarded as off-line. The
interval is advertised in router hello packets. This value must be the
same for all routers and access servers on a specific network. The
range is from 1 to 65535 seconds. Select the Default option to use the
default value, which is 40 seconds.
Enter the priority value of the router here. The range is from 0 to 255.
Set the priority to help determine the OSPF Designated Router (DR)
for a network. If two routers attempt to become the DR, the router with
the higher router priority becomes the DR. If the router priority is the
same for two routers, the router with the higher router ID takes
precedence.
Only routers with nonzero router priority values are eligible to become
the designated or backup designated router. Configure router priority
for multi-access networks (not point-to-point) only.
Select the Default option to use the default value, which is 1.
