On a trunk interface, interface-based bit error detection is as follows:
You can enable bit error detection on each member interface of a trunk interface and on the trunk
interface. In this situation, when a member interface detects a bit error event, traffic is forwarded
through another member interface. The trunk interface goes Down only when the number of
member interfaces that have bit errors exceeds a specified threshold.

detection on the interfaces along an RSVP-TE tunnel and configure the switching type
as trigger-LSP.
Enable bit error detection on a common interface.
1. Run:

The interface view is displayed.
NOTE
The interface can be a 10 GE LAN/WAN interface, a GE interface, an Ethernet interface, a
POS interface, a high-speed Ethernet interface, an Ethernet sub-interface, or a common VLAN
sub-interface; the interface cannot be a low-speed interface, such as an E1/T1 interface, an E3/
T3 interface, a serial interface, or an ATM interface.
3. Run:
trap-threshold crc-error packet-error-ratio alarm-threshold coefficient-
value power-value [ resume-threshold coefficient-value power-value ]
[ trigger-lsp | trigger-section ]
An alarm threshold and a clear alarm threshold are configured for the cyclic
redundancy check (CRC) error packet ratio.
By default, the alarm threshold for CRC error packet is 3, the interval at which alarms
are generated is 10s, and bit error detection does not trigger protection switching.
Enable bit error detection on a trunk interface.
1. Run:
system-view
The system view is displayed.
2. Run:
interface eth-trunk trunk-id
The Eth-Trunk interface view is displayed.
Or, run:
interface ip-trunk trunk-id
The IP-Trunk interface view is displayed.
