Step 2 Set NAS parameters and the interval for backing up traffic. Take Router A as an example. The
configuration of Router B is similar to the configuration of Router A.

Step 3 Bind the address pool pool1 configured in the domain to the RBS. Configure the protection path
for the network-side traffic to return on Router A. The configuration of Router B is similar to
the configuration of Router A.
# Enable MPLS and MPLS LDP on the directly connected link. For details, see the HUAWEI

# Configure the tunnel policy.

[RouterA-tunnel-policy-policy1] tunnel select-seq lsp load-balance-number 1
[RouterA-tunnel-policy-policy1] quit
# Bind the address pool to the RBS and configure the protection path.
[RouterA] remote-backup-service service1

[RouterA-rm-backup-srv-service1] protect tnl-policy policy1 peer-ip 2.2.2.2

Step 4 Bind the RBP to the user access interface. The sub-interface GE 1/0/0.1 is used here. Take
Router A as an example. The configuration of Router B is similar to the configuration of
Router A.

Step 5 Verify the configuration.

NOTE
In the remote backup service view, you can use the track bfd-session command to track the status of the
peer BFD session established at the network side of master and slave devices. In this manner, the peer
status can be fast detected. The configuration is not mentioned here. For details, refer to the command
reference.
