Step 5 Create an HA backup group on CGN1 and CGN2, add members to the group, and configure a
VRRP backup channel.
# Create HA backup group 1 on CGN1, add CPU 0 in slot 1 to the group, and set the VRRP
outbound interface to GE 1/1/1 and the peer IP address to 172.16.5.2.

Step 6 Create and configure a VRRP backup group on CGN1 and CGN2 and associate HA with VRRP
on CGN1 and CGN2.

After the configuration is completed, run the display vrrp 1 command on CGN1 and CGN2 to
view the master/backup VRRP status, which reflects the master/backup status of the HA backup
group. State in the command output indicates the CGN's status.
Use CGN1 as an example:
