11.10.10 Example for Configuring User Information Backup in
Direct and Reachable VPN User Tunnel Protection Mode
This section provides a configuration example of user information backup in direct and reachable
VPN user tunnel mode. A networking diagram is provided to demonstrate the configuration
procedure. The configuration example includes networking requirements, configuration
roadmap, configuration procedure, and configuration files.
Networking Requirements
Configuring user information backup in direct and reachable VPN user tunnel protection mode
is similar to that in VPN user tunnel protection mode. The difference is that you need to configure
a direct link between Router A and Router B. In this manner, you can reduce bandwidth reduction
of links on the network side. In addition, the VPN configuration is simplified and you do not
need to configure MPLS + BGP between the active and standby devices. You only need to bind
the VPN instance to the physical interface of the direct link.
