Data Preparation
To complete the configuration, you need the following data:
l
l
l
Issue 02 (2014-09-30)
l Configure basic MPLS functions and enable MPLS TE.
l Configure MPLS TE tunnel interfaces.
l Configure the ingress and egress for a static co-routed bidirectional LSP.
l Bind tunnel interfaces on PE2 and PE3 to a static bidirectional co-routed LSP.
Configure dual-homing protection on the AC side (configure E-Trunk in this example),
which involves the following procedures:
l Configure an Eth-Trunk interface on PE1, PE2, and CE2.
l Configure an E-Trunk on PE1 and PE2 to determine the primary/secondary status of
ACs.
Configure PW protection groups (in this example, static PWs are configured), which
involves the following procedures:
l Configure a primary PW between PE1 and PE2.
l Configure a secondary PW between PE1 and PE3.
l Configure a bypass PW between PE2 and PE3.
Configure E-PW APS, which involves the following procedures:
l Configure a PW APS instance on PE1.
l Configure E-PW APS instances on PE2 and PE3.
l Bind PWs to the PW APS instance.
Configure MPLS-TP OAM to monitor the PW status, which involves the following
procedures:
l Configure an ME instance and bind the instance to PWs.
l Enable continuity check (CC) and connectivity verification (CV) functions for PWs.
Configure MPLS-TP OAM to monitor the LSP status, which involves the following
procedures:
l Configure an ME instance and bind the instance to TE tunnels.
l Enable CC and CV functions for PWs.
Enable the MAC-layer SD alarm function, configure alarm generation and clearing
thresholds, and associate bit error alarms with E-PW APS switching, which involves the
following procedures:
l Enable AIS on PE1, PE2, and PE3 globally.
l Enable the MAC-layer SD alarm function on PE1, PE2, and PE3, configure alarm
generation and clearing thresholds, and associate bit error alarms with E-PW APS
switching.
Interface IDs, interface IP addresses, and OSPF process IDs of PEs
LSR IDs of PEs, numbers and IP addresses for tunnel interfaces, in-label and out-label of
tunnels, next-hop address or outbound interface on the ingress and inbound interface on
the egress of a static bidirectional co-routed LSP
L2VC destination addresses, VC IDs, and VC types, and transmitted and received label
values of static PWs
