You cannot upload a file to the Gateway using the Software Upload Utility
This indicates a problematic connection between the Gateway and the LAN terminal from
which you are running the Software Upload Utility. Refer to the previous procedure for
instructions on how to verify the connection between the Gateway and a LAN terminal.

From the Console Port

You can access the L2W-323 Gateway through the console port for remote configuration or
diagnostics.
You cannot access the Gateway from a local terminal connected to the console
port
Make sure that the Gateway is connected to the terminal via a crossed RS-232 cable. Verify
that the Gateway can communicate with the terminal.

To verify communication between the Gateway and the terminal
1. Run HyperTerminal or other terminal emulation software. A prompt is displayed.
2. Press Enter and the prompt moves down a line. This indicates that you have a
connection.
3. Restart the Gateway. A log of the start up events should display on the HyperTerminal
screen. If nothing is displayed on the HyperTerminal screen, this indicates a failure in
the Gateway or the PC serial controller.
4. Refer this problem to your local RADVision distributor or contact RADVision
customer support.
You cannot access the Gateway from a remote terminal connected to the
Gateway via modems
!" Make sure both modems are correctly configured with the settings:
9600 baud rate, 8 data bits, no parity, 1 stop bit and no flow control.
The modem connected to the Gateway should have these additional settings:
