To connect the Gateway to the LAN
1. If you connected the Gateway directly to a PC with a crossover Ethernet cable for
assigning the new IP address, remove the RJ-45 connector of the crossover cable from
LAN port 1.
2. Connect one of the RJ-45 8-pin connectors of the straight through Ethernet cable to the
Gateway's LAN port 1. When connecting a single Gateway LAN port, using one of the
other ports prevents proper connection and unit operation
3. Connect the other connector to a 10/100Base-T hub or switch.

The Gateway can have up to two WAN modules providing four connections to the ISDN

ISDN BRI WAN Connection
You can connect the ISDN interface directly to a BRI ISDN socket or indirectly, via a PBX.
The BRI modules (MW-BRI-2/MW-BRI-EC) ships with the appropriate ISDN cables.
The BRI module has an S/T interface. If the ISDN line supplied by the Central Office has a
U interface, you need an NT1 (Network Terminator 1) to terminate the ISDN line and
convert it to an S/T interface. Set the termination of the NT1 to 100 Ohms in the USA and
to 120 Ohms in Europe.
