Upgrading the ISDN BRI WAN Module Driver

If you installed a new ISDN BRI module in an older version of the L2W-323 Gateway, you
may need to upgrade the BRI module driver. We recommend you upload the driver supplied
with the ISDN BRI module to the Gateway. You do this using the Software Upload Utility.
#"
To upload the ISDN module driver
1. Insert the driver diskette in the floppy drive of the LAN PC on which you installed the
RADVision OnLAN Tools.
2. Run Windows Explorer, point to the ISDN BRI WAN module driver file you want to
upload and double-click. The Software Upload Utility screen appears. Follow the
instructions in "Uploading Files to the Gateway," page 8-1, to upload the driver to the
Gateway.
Monitoring the Gateway
You can monitor the Gateway using the Diagnostics utility. The Diagnostics utility is a
series of diagnostic menus that allow you to view information about:
!" Gateway ports configuration.
!" Connected terminals.
!" Ongoing call status.
!" Software version.
Accessing the Diagnostic Menus
The diagnostic menus are accessed through terminal emulator software running on a PC
connected to the Gateway console port. You can connect the PC directly to the Gateway
console port or indirectly via modems. For information on connecting the Gateway console
port to a PC or modem, see "Connecting to the Console Port" in Chapter 3, "Installing the
L2W-323 Gateway."
Prerequisites
Before you begin, decide whether you will be accessing the diagnostic utility locally via a
direct PC connection or from a remote location via a modem.
