!" The Gateway is connected to an Ascend IMUX with a profile of Call Type = Bonding,
Call Management = MODE 1
!" The Gateway WAN port Terminal Adapter Type is set to "sw_ascend" and the dialing
protocol is set to V.25bis.
Dialing STD – allows you to determine the dialing standard for this port. The Dialing STD
list has two protocols RS-366 for outband dialing and V.25bis for inband dialing. If you
select Dedicated from the Terminal Adapter Type list, three more dedicated dialing
standards are available:
!" GW-GW – used from Gateway-to-Gateway dialing via modems.
!" GW-H320 (DCD ON) – used for Gateway-to-H.320 terminal dialing where the
terminal always asserts data carrier detected (DCD). In this dialing mode, the V.35
port does not accept incoming calls.
!" GW-H320EP (DCD CTRL) – used for Gateway-to-H.320 terminal dialing where the
terminal only asserts DCD when it initiates or receives a call.
Note: If the H.320 terminal connected to the Gateway always asserts DCD and the port is
configured to GW-H320EP, there will be a continuous ongoing call between the
Gateway and the H.320 terminal on this port.
WAN Call Parameters – displays the WAN Call Parameter screen and allows you to set
incoming call routing methods for this port. The WAN Call Parameter screen is the same as
for the BRI port. For information, see "Setting WAN Call Routing Parameters," page 5-31.
Supported Services – displays the Supported Services screen allowing you to set the
services supported by this port. The Supported Services screen is the same as for the BRI
port. For information, see "Viewing and Setting Supported Services," page 5-32.
