For example, if an endpoint in Island A requests a service provided by both of the Gateways
in the zone, the Gatekeeper first routes the call to the Gateway in Island A. This connection
is fast as it does not pass through the slow network router path. If the WAN port of the
Gateway in Island A is not available, the Gatekeeper routes the call via the router to the
Gateway in Island B. When you do not define islands the Gatekeeper routes the call to the
first available Gateway that provides the requested service.
This routing scheme can be used for both outgoing and incoming calls.
