To re-register an endpoint that disconnected from the network in a disorderly manner
1. Open the Zone Definition Table in the Gatekeeper Setup. Select the endpoint that is
not responding and delete it. Close the Zone Definition Table.
2. Re-register the endpoint with the Gatekeeper. This procedure varies depending on the
type of endpoint.
3. Open the Zone Definition Table in the Gatekeeper Setup and check that the endpoint in
question appears in the table and is "online."
You are unable to make LAN-to-WAN data calls
Make sure that:
!" The endpoint you are dialing from is registered with the Gatekeeper.
!" You are using the correct service for data calls, and both the Gateway and the
Gatekeeper support the service.

To check that the endpoint is registered with the Gatekeeper
1. Run the configuration software.
2. Open the Zone Definition Table in the Gatekeeper Setup. Check that the endpoint
appears in the table and its status is "online."
3. If the endpoint is not online, check that the default Gatekeeper is defined for the
endpoint and that the endpoint is not using an existing alias or phone number.
4. Close the Zone Definition Table and re-register the endpoint with the Gatekeeper. This
procedure varies depending on the type of endpoint.
5. Open the Zone Definition Table. Verify the endpoint appears in the table and is online.
Note: Microsoft NetMeeting version 2.x can make calls even if it is not registered with the
Gatekeeper, but it cannot receive calls unless it is predefined.

To check that you are using the correct service for the LAN-to-WAN data call
!" Open the Gateway Services Definition table in the Unit Setup. Verify the Call Type
parameter of the service you are dialing is set to H.320. If not, use a service defined as
an H.320 call type. Verify that the Gateway and the Gatekeeper support the service
you chose.
