Troubleshooting the L2W-323 Gateway

To verify that the data call service is supported by both the Gateway and the
Gatekeeper:
1. Open the Zone Definition Table in the Gatekeeper Setup and edit the Gateway entry.
The Online Properties screen is displayed.
2. Click Supported Services. The Gateway Supported Services screen is displayed. If the
service is supported by the Gateway but not by the Gatekeeper, it does not appear in
this screen. Instead, the Gatekeeper not recognizing the number as a service, interprets
it as a phone number and adds it to the Phone Numbers field of the Online Properties
screen.
3. Open the Gatekeeper Services Definition Table and add the service.
4. Open the Network Control screen in the Gatekeeper Setup. Click Unregister All. This
unregisters all registered online endpoints, allowing the Gateway to re-register with the
Gatekeeper.
5. Open the Zone Definition Table in the Gatekeeper Setup and edit the Gateway entry.
The Online Properties screen is displayed.
6. Click Supported Services. The Gateway's Supported Services screen is displayed.
Verify that the service in question appears on this screen.
You are unable to make voice calls
Make sure that you are using the correct service for voice only calls.

To verify that you are using the correct service for the LAN-to-WAN voice only call
!" Open the Gateway Services Definition Table in the Unit Setup. Verify the Call Type
parameter of the service you are dialing is set to Voice. If not, use a service defined as
a Voice call type. Verify that the Gateway and the Gatekeeper support the service you
chose.
