3. Pass the two screws through the washers and bracket holes, inserting them into the
inside of the Gateway and tighten them securely with a suitable screwdriver.
4. Repeat steps 2 and 3 for the other side of the Gateway.
5. Insert the unit into the 19-inch rack and secure with suitable screws. Two screws are
needed for each side. These are not provided with the Gateway.
6. Verify the air vents at the sides of the Gateway are not blocked.
7. Connect the cables. Refer to "Connecting the Cables," page 3-5 for details.

Installing More than One Unit

If the Gateway units are free standing you can place up to four units one on top of the other.
Each unit comes with four protective rubber pads stuck to underside of the Gateway. Make
sure these protective pads are in place when placing units one on top of another.
Connecting the Cables
You must connect the Gateway to a power outlet, a 10/100Base-T LAN hub or switch, and a
WAN connection (BRI ISDN or V.35 connection unit).
Power Connection
The L2W-323 Gateway receives AC power through a standard power cable with a grounded
three-prong plug.
Before you connect the L2W-323 to the power, make sure the power source voltage is
between 100-240 VAC.
Before you switch on the L2W-323 Gateway, verify that
!" The protective earth terminals of the L2W-323 are connected to the (main) power cord
protective conductor.
!" The AC outlet is provided with a protective earth contact.
Warning : Do not use an extension cord (power cable) without a protective conductor
(grounding). The L2W-323 can become dangerous when you interrupt any of
the protective (grounding) conductors or disconnect any of the protective earth
terminals. Intentional interruption is prohibited.
