Using the L2W-323 Gateway
Changing the Bandwidth of Incoming Calls
When making V.35 WAN-to-LAN calls through an L2W-323 Gateway that is defined as
DCE, you can force the bandwidth of calls you send to the Gateway by adding the following
call prefixes to the number dialed:
To Force Calling
Bandwidth to:
2 x 64 Kbps (2B)
128 Kbps
256 Kbps
384 Kbps
786 Kbps
2 x 56 Kbps (2B) (restricted)
112 Kbps (restricted)
224 Kbps (restricted)
336 Kbps (restricted)
672 Kbps (restricted)
Note: You must add the dialing prefix at the very beginning of the dialing string.

Dialing Examples

When making a call at 768 Kbps, dial:
!" The dialing prefix, followed by
!" The endpoint's phone number.
Example
#70 1234567
Where #70 is the prefix that forces the bandwidth to 768 Kbps and 1234567 is the phone
number of the endpoint you are calling.
Note: In cases when you are prompted by an IVR voice message, follow the voice prompt to
connect to the LAN endpoint.
