Troubleshooting for the Image

1) Color deviation

<Symptoms>
Original mode
All modes Color blurred in outline of white text or
illustration on a colored background
Text Mode Outline in black text on a colored
Text/Photo Mode background
Photo Mode Color blurred in outline of line or text
Map Mode
Cause/Section Step
1 Test printing (A3/LD)
Drum rotation 2 Check the main motor operation in
abnormality the test mode (03) to see if there is
any rotation abnormality of the drum.

Inadequate 4 Check the value set for main motor

9 Are the couplings on the transfer belt
side loosen, damaged or deformed?
10 Stain or damage of the drive roller
11 Does the rib of the transfer belt over-
lap the collar on both edge of the
drive roller?
12 Is the belt edge damaged or stained? Clean or replace the transfer belt.
13 Peeling of the cleaning blade
(Large driving load)
14 Is the transfer belt unit installed nor-
mally?
(Is the unit properly grounded?)

Measure
Output the built-in grid pattern
Replace the main motor.
Reconnect the connectors.
Replace the harnesses.
Replace the LGC board.
Reset main motor speed to 128.
Check if they are installed prop-
erly or replace the couplings.
Clean or replace the transfer belt.
Clean or replace the sensor.
Clean or replace the transfer belt.
Tighten the screws if they loosen,
or replace the couplings.
Clean or replace the drive roller.
Adjust the position of the transfer
belt.
Replace the cleaning blade.
Check and correct the installing.
