SRX 5600 Services Gateway Hardware Guide

Grounding Cable Lug Specification

The accessory box shipped with the services gateway includes the cable lug that
attaches to the grounding cable (see Figure 73 on page 186) and two UNC 1/4–20
screws used to secure the grounding cable to the grounding points.

CAUTION: Before services gateway installation begins, a licensed electrician must
attach a cable lug to the grounding and power cables that you supply. A cable with
an incorrectly attached lug can damage the services gateway.

Grouding Cable Specification

The grounding cable that you provide must be 6-AWG (13.3 mm
wire, or as permitted by the local code.
WARNING: The services gateway is pluggable type A equipment installed in a
restricted-access location. It has a separate protective earthing terminal (sized for
UNC 1/4-20 ground lugs) provided on the chassis in addition to the grounding pin of
the power supply cord. This separate protective earthing terminal must be
permanently connected to earth.
