Replacing the Craft Interface

The craft interface is located above the card cage, as shown in Figure 1 on page 6.
It houses the alarm relay interface ports and indicates status of services gateway
components.
The craft interface is hot-insertable and hot-removable. It weighs approximately
1.1 lb (0.50 kg). When you install the craft interface, allow several minutes for the
display to reflect the current state of the device.
To replace the craft interface, use the following procedures:
Tool or part

Flat-blade (–) screwdriver
Phillips (+) screwdrivers, numbers 1
and 2
Rubber safety cap
