A message will appear and the
machine will not start if the tray is
not closed completely. If paper or
documents are still jammed at other
locations, other error messages will
be displayed.
Paper jam inside top cover
The following message will be displayed if paper is jammed inside the top cover of the HCF. Follow
the procedure below to remove the jammed paper.

If the paper is torn, check that no torn pieces are left in the
machine.

Push in the tray slowly
until it stops.
1. Open the top cover of Tray 6 (High
Capacity Feeder) and remove jammed sheet.
2. Close the top cover.
