5.27 Creating a Booklet
Making bi-folded or stapled copies without specifying Booklet Imposision
If the optional booklet maker finisher is installed and the Only Folding/Stapling button is selected, you can
select only the Bi-Fold or Bi-Fold + Stapling button to output copies without specifying Booklet Imposision.
Since this method allows you to make copies in the scanned order, it is useful when creating a booklet from
copies that have already several pages specified on each original when scanned, or from copies when
Booklet Imposision does not need to be specified.

When Bi-Fold or Bi-Fold + Stapling is selected, the available paper sizes are A4, 8.5×11", 8.5×13", 8.5×14",
B4, A3, 11×17", 8 K, and non-standard size (square paper or rectangular paper with a longer X-direction edge,
both paper are ranging from 210-297 mm in the Y-direction and 279-432 mm in the X-direction).
Up to 500 pages of documents can be scanned. A maximum of 60 pages (booklet with 15 copies) and 30 pages (booklet with 15
copies) can be scanned if Bi-Fold + Stapling and Only Folding/Stapling is selected, respectively. If the number of scanned
pages exceeds the maximum number during scanning, a screen appears allowing you to select whether to cancel the stapling
or bi-folding with stapling, or to stop copying.
You cannot set 1 -> 1 Sided, 2 -> 1 Sided, Uncollated, Mixed Size Originals, Covers, Multiple Up, Repeat Image, Transparency,
Stapling, Punching, and Build Job by combination.
If center margin and copy position shift (center shift) are set by combination in booklet creation, the image is arranged at the
specified shift position and the center margin for booklet creation is added.
When using tray 5 (bypass) for covers in booklet creation, select Plain/Heavywt 1 for the paper quality.
If the Annotation feature is set, stamp and other information is given to the right and left sides (or the upper and lower sides)
respectively.
You can specify only Copy Management as an annotation that is added to the copy when Bi-Fold + Stapling is selected.
