    1 Before Using Machine Preface Thank you for selecting our DocuCentre 9000 and Document Centre 1100/900 (hereinafter called "the machine"). This guide describes a number of configuration procedures for using this machine on a network. This guide assumes that you are familiar with your personal computer’s operating systems, as well as its operating and networking environment.

Print CentreWare Internet Services Scan E-mail Print This section describes the environment where this machine is able to provide print services. This machine can be used as a local printer by directly connecting to a computer, or as a network printer when connecting to a network.

    Switch on the power before operating the machine. After the power is on, it will take about 6 minutes for DocuCentre 9000 and Document Centre 900 or about 5 minutes for Document Centre 1100 to warm up before you can start making copies.

    Interface Cables Interface Cables When connecting this machine directly to a computer, use USB interface. When connecting to a network, use the Ethernet interface.
