This example configures two queriers in a LAN that consists of three
switches as shown in Figure 123 on page 620.

Description
Set the interval at which IGMP general
query messages are transmitted to 500
seconds.
Return to the Privileged Exec mode.
Verify the IP address with the SHOW IP
INTERFACE command. The columns are
defined in "SHOW IP INTERFACE" on
page 325.
Use the SHOW IP IGMP STATISTICS
INTERFACE command to verify that IGMP
snooping and IGMP snooping querier are
active. The fields are defined in Table 70 on
page 631.
Description
Enter the Privileged Executive mode from the
User Executive mode of switch 1.
Enter the Global Configuration mode.
Activate IGMP snooping on the switch. (The
default setting for IGMP snooping is
disabled.)
Enter the VLAN Interface mode for the
Default VLAN.
Assign the VLAN the IP address
149.123.48.2/24.
Activate IGMP snooping querier on the
VLAN.
Exit the Global Configuration mode.
Exit the User Executive mode.
Exit the Privileged Executive mode and log
out of switch 1.
