Low Fuel Warning Light Symptom Diagnosis

NOTE
Confirm that fuel meter is in good condition before referring to the following possible causes.
• When fuel level meter circuit is shorted to ground circuit, fuel level meter indicates empty even if
fuel tank does not empty.
• The low fuel warning light comes ON when fuel level is lower than specification below.

Oil Pressure Warning Light Symptom Diagnosis

Condition
Oil pressure warning light
does not light up when
ignition switch is turned
to ON position at engine
off
Oil pressure warning light
stays ON
Fuel amount:
Approx. 8.3 liter (G16 engine model)
Approx. 9.9 liter (J20 engine model)
Possible cause
Circuit fuse blown
Data (information) can not be received
by CAN communication
Fuel level sensor faulty
Wiring or ground faulty
Combination meter faulty
ECM faulty
Low fuel
Data (information) can not be received
by CAN communication
Fuel level sensor faulty
Combination meter faulty
ECM faulty
Possible cause

Sensor Inspection: ".
Repair circuit.
Replace combination meter.
Replace after making sure that none of above
parts is faulty.
Refill fuel.
Check ECM for DTC referring to "DTC Check:
in Section 1A".
Check fuel level sensor referring to "Fuel Level
Sensor Inspection: ".
Replace combination meter.
Replace after making sure that none of above
parts is faulty.
Correction / Reference Item
