Shut down DEFINITY AUDIX system

Return to Task List
A yellow caution sticker on the system's power unit notifies you to shut down the AUDIX before
powering down the system.

Neglecting to shut down an AUDIX assembly before powering down the system cabinet
where it resides can damage the AUDIX disk.

Log into the AUDIX as craft.
NOTE:
If you have a dadmin login and password, you can use them instead of craft and the craft
password.

Type
reset system shutdown

Press Return again to start the shutdown.
The
SHUTDOWN Completed
takes about 2 minutes.

If you are leaving the AUDIX System in the carrier, back it out about 2 in. (5 cm) to
eliminate the possibility of damage due to power surges.

Perform this procedure on high and critical reliability systems.
