Use the command to configure the RIP routing process. To turn off the RIP
routing process, use the no form of this command.

Not configured
Global configuration
This command is used to enable the RIP function and enter the Router
configuration mode of RIP protocol.
Executing the no form of the command, will remove the configuration in the
router mode.
The following example shows how to begin the RIP routing process:
Verify the settings by entering the show ip protocols rip command.
